The festival’s Sunday afternoon slot is generally one of the biggest draws of the weekend. 2019 saw Kylie Minogue make take to the iconic Pyramid Stage 14 years after she was due to headline in 2005, a performance that was cancelled when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Diana Ross will play the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday afternoon of Glastonbury 2020.
Following in the footsteps of the likes of Kylie Minogue, Dolly Parton and Dame Shirley Bassey, next year's show will mark the first time Ross has played in the UK since 2008.
After finding fame as the lead singer of Motown Records' best selling outfit the The Supremes ('You Can't Hurry Love', 'Baby Love', 'Stop! In The Name Of Love'), Diana Ross, now 75, went on to become a wildly successful solo artist racking up 75 UK Top 40 singles. Hits such as 'Upside Down' and 'I'm Coming Out' became seminal disco records, firm favourites in the record box of every disco DJ.
On her legends slot, Diana Ross said in a Tweet, 'This is a dream come true. To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I'm coming to Glastonbury, with love.'
Next year's Glastonbury, the 50th anniversary, will be the biggest to date, with an increased capacity of 210,000. The festival will take place from Wednesday 24th June to Sunday 28th June. Tickets have sold out, but there will be a resale in April 2020 to give those that missed out a final chance to nab a ticket.

Kylie has been confirmed for the Somerset festival's legendary Sunday afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm.
Kylie Minogue has been confirmed for Glastonbury 2019.
The Australian pop princess has been confirmed for the now legendary Sunday tea time slot on the Pyramid Stage, with the festival announcing on Twitter: 'We are delighted to announce that Kylie is finally bringing her show to Glastonbury. She'll play the legendary Sunday afternoon slot at next year's Festival. And we cannot wait.'

The Spinning Around singer added: 'It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show'.
Kylie's appearance will see her join the likes of Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Bee Gees singer Barry Gibb in playing the famous legends slot.
The Aussie pop star is the second act to be confirmed for the festival, after it was announced that Stormzy would headline the Pyramid stage.
The news was broken through the festival's Glastonbury Free Press posters, which began appearing in Oxfam stores.

Shortly after, Blinded By Your Grace star confirmed the news on his official Instagram, sharing the very same poster with the caption: 'THE HEADLINE ACT - GLASTONBURY 2019, well lets be fucking having ya then.'
